Our 2006 highlight is Clara's Dream , taken from the traditional Nutcracker. This family-friendly production packs all the music and ballet into a one hour show. Based on the the choreography of San Francisco Ballet founder Willam Christensen, this one-hour narrated version has been designed by Dancecorps to keep ticket prices affordable for the entire family and it serves as an alternative to the glut of full-length Nutcrackers throughout the southland. Last year's performance was wonderful and this year's promises to be even more spectacular.

Culminating the end of each season is the Spring Sensation , where school and company join together to showcase the best of their works, performing new and contemporary choreography together with excerpts from the established classical repertorie: Paquita, Tarentella, Swan Lake, Giselle, etc.

In recognition of our achievements, The Willam Christensen Trust Foundation has awarded us the exclusive rights to perform his ballets in the Los Angeles area. The late Willam Christensen was founder of Ballet West and San Francisco Ballet. He choreographed the first full length Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Cinderella and Coppelia ever to be performed in America.

Dancecorps, in alliance with its school, provides scholarships, work study programs and complimentary rehearsal space for senior citizens groups and other organizations.
